Is there a PIN for AirPods?

I am attempting to connect my AirPods to a VOIP work phone with bluetooth capabilities. The phone is asking me for a PIN number to recognize the AirPods for pairing. I have tried the standard "0000" and "1111," but neither works. My work phone works fine with other bluetooth headsets, and I'd hoped to replace my current headset with the AirPods. Can anyone help? For what it's worth, my work phone is a Panasonic KX-TGE260
