I got an alarming notice on my phone

Today, I have gotten an alarming message on my Iphone 7S:

“Your Apple ID and phone number are now being used for iMessage and FaceTime on a new iPhone.”

Does this mean my Iphone has been hacked? Are my personal information in danger or exposed? Should I do anything?

Usually these messages are spot-on in indicating activity of some sort. The question is whether it's a result of an action you took or not. If you're unsure that you can say for certain it was you it's best to play it safe and make sure your accounts are secure and re-set any passwords.

If you weren't signing into Messages or FaceTime when you received the message, change your password and consider adding 2 Factor Authentication to your account for more security.
