Test by unplugging from the powers source. Don't force the USBC/lighting, if it easily seats as expected. Inspect for any oddity,
Plug it in the wall and see? If you are nervous about testing, you can always purchase a new one.

¿Isn't that separate cable on that charger? Is it reversible?
If it gives you the slightest bit of trouble, replace with a new Charging cable (limited to charging and USB-2 ONLY) or a different, more capable cable that does more and charges as well.
