Replace optical photoconductor MC361

Getting an error message saying that it's time to replace the optical photoconductor on my OKIDATA MC361 printer. There isn't such a consumable to replace. Calls to OKIDATA indicate this is a long time, known problem with MACs as the problem doesn't surface on the printer's LCD screen nor if printing from a Window's-based computer.

photosmart printer stopped working After the last upgrade to Catalina a couple of weeks ago, whenever I try to print, it flags several of the driver flags as malware and does not print. Really? If it isn't Apple it isn't allowed? Printer: HP PhotoSmart 7660 connected to an AirPort Express. Laptop: MacBook Pro (15 inch, 2019), Catalina 10.15.7 Driver files called out: “PDE.plugin” will damage your computer. “commandtohp.filter” will damage your computer. “Inkjet6.driver” will damage your computer. There is no option to tell it to proceed. How do I use my printer?

Hi,

Just so you are aware, there are no Mac compatible drivers for that printer.
