Apple "Keychain" vs "LastPass"

I have used LogMeIn/Last Pass as my password saver for about 5 years now. Since joining with LogMeIn, they have tripled their annual fee. Does anyone have information on how well Apple's Keychain performs compared to Last Pass? Keychain I believe is free, unless there is an upgraded version that is sold (like so many of thee do).

Thanks for any info.

Thanks so much. Perhaps I'll switch to the free version. But I pay most of my bills online (at those websites) and like how I can easily logon to LastPass from any computer and on my phone. Haven't had accounts hacked or identity stolen yet, and don't want to experience it!!

I was wrong. I do have the premium version. Forgot I upgraded a while ago. For me, $24 doesn't seem like very much to pay for the service. I understand not everyone would agree.

Keychain also works on both your iPhone and Mac seamlessly. I've been finding I use it more and more. It's much easier to use on the iPhone than LastPass.

There's also no reason why you can't use both. I always have.

Best of luck.

I use both.

Last week I updated my logins using both Safari and Keychain as I was doing the same with LastPass.

I found for me that Keychain/Safari was much smoother when working in that environment and the Touch ID on the iPhone is a serious time saver. That is built into the Apps and nothing to do with Lastpass.

It's easier going to Keychain to obtain passwords for manual input or searching.

I sorta like the copy password feature in Lastpass for apps and sites that don't work well with Keychain.

Today I created a back up spreadsheet file with Numbers in iCloud and password protected it.
After I experiment with the Credit Card feature in Keychain and if it works the way I like, I just might let go of Lastpass.

I have the free version of Lastpass so no hurry to get out of it 100%.

Since you seem to access on other computers, it might be a convenient option for you.

I'm missing Seattle by the way. Very cool city....in the summer.
