Component needed for Flash 8 export

When I try to export or publish a flash file as a .MOV I get the following error "An error occured because a required Quicktime component could not be found."
Any idea what Quicktime component allows Flash export?

G4 Dual 1.25 GHz, Mac OS X (10.3.9), harddrive partitioned in half

You need the Flash Exporter component from Adobe and an installed version of Flash MX 8 to export from QT formats to .flv files.

Are you trying to make a flash into a quicktime movie,
or a Quicktime movie into a flash?

Flash to Quicktime. Its a publishing option and it used to work in older versions of Flash. I tried saving down but I get the same Quicktime component error.

That's an easy fix.
QuickTime only supports Flash that is "Published" to Flash version 5, or lower.
You must also "Enable Flash" in the QuickTime System Preferences Advanced tab.

Before giving up try the Perian free plug-in and/or MPEG Streamclip to export to QT. I download FLV files from YouTube and the like, no idea what flash version they are but I can transcode to QT in minutes with MPEG Streamclip.
