Fast forward instead next song...

My iPhone and Iwatch now only have the option to fast forward songs, instead of choosing the next song, which is quite annoying...

If anyone has a solution for that, I’ll be grateful!!!

Hey alonaba,

Thanks for the update. Those circles which have replaced the double arrows are there because of a setting, and it is specific to the song.

1. If you are using Apple Music you can use the iTunes app on the computer and pull up the library of music.

2. If you select all of the music in your iTunes library and then right-click them, you can choose to Get Info. Song Info, if you choose only one song. If you choose multiple songs, This will ask you if you are sure you want to edit information for multiple items, click Edit Items.

3. You will see tabs across the top of the window, choose Options, and deselect Remember playback position and click OK. This will spread to the songs on your device and you will have the double arrows back.

Cheers.

Greetings alonaba,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It seems like you want to skip to the next song, but you only have the option to fast forward. You can skip to the next song or fast forward through the song using the same button. If you tap the double arrows you will skip to the next song. If you hold them down you will fast forward through the song. This article also explains how to use and where to find other useful features.

Play, repeat, and shuffle music

Take care.
