IMac Boots Up, Shuts Down At Halfway Load?

I have a 27-inch IMac, Mid-2010, and it loads up, shows the white screen with the Apple Logo, then turns off after the loading bar is about halfway or so. However, the screen does not show the indicator circle as it usually does, and I have a thought of how this could've happened.

So this crash occured after I agreed to restart my computer for an update. It just shut down then I get the situation above, but this isn't the first time this has happened, an error after an update. This is the second time, the first being that after the update, the loading bar would go all the way, load up, but when the screen gets to the log in selection, it would crash again. Contacting Apple Support, I had to restsrrmy system to factory default.

Is there something wrong with my Mac? Why does it crash after updates?

Please reset the NVRAM per the instructions in https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063 . If that does not work attempt to start in Safe Mode per the directions in https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262 .

If that does not work restart in the Recovery Partition (Command + R on startup) and re-install Mac OS. If all of these steps fail, please take the computer to your local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider as it has likely suffered a hardware failure.
