GForce M-Tron for Garageband?

GForce M-Tron for Garageband?

Has any one used this with Garageband? I have always wanted a Mellotron, and from what I've read about M-Tron, this comes very close. And, does it work with a M-Audio keyboard? Any and all advice is Greatly Appreciated!

Since it's an AU plug-in, it should work fine with GB.

Asking if it works with a particular keyboard is not the right question, the keyboard has to work with a Mac, that's the only question. If it works with a Mac, then it works with GB and it will work with any AU plug-in that works in GB

I have that one, with all the tapepacks, and it works like charm in Gb.
I use an M-Audio keyboard.
Be aware however that many of the Mellotron's instruments have a limited ranch which sometimes, with imported mididfiles, can be a bit frustrating.
But the beast sounds great.

how do you get the M-Tron to work in GarageBand - it's working fine as a standalone and the I see an M-Tron component in the Audio Component folder but it's not showing up in the GB generator menu - any clues?

actually solved the problem - if you've purchased the M-Tron that comes in a box you must go online to download the UNIVERSAL version - this then loads the M-Tron up as generator
