Apple maps/calendar integration on ios

I’m really liking Apple Maps but struggling to find integration to the iOS calendar. I put addresses in my calendar appointments, and Waze will see those as destination options. But I don’t see them as choices in Apple Maps, and Siri scratches it’s head when I say “get directions to my next appointment”. Seems like a pretty big missing feature if it is one. Thanks for any insight.
