Why does Bluetooth File Exchange start up after every reboot?

Hi people,

I know its a small thing, but it's really getting on my nerves as I can't seem to prevent it. Just to be clear, the problem is that whetherh Bluetooth is enable or not when I shut my Mac down, upon restart the utility program "Bluetooth File Exchange" will start up. This is annoying for obvious reasons.

I have de-selected "Open Bluetooth Setup Assistant at startup when no input device is present" and I can't find anything else that seems to indicate the utility will start. This is really frustrating, has anyone got any suggestions?

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your reply. I'm sorry to say though that it doesn't solve my problem as the Bluetooth Exchange Utility isn't checked under login items. It is very strange really, I just don't understand it. Its been like this for months (good thing OS X doesn't need to be restarted every day like certain other OS's.... )

Any other ideas greatly appreciated (and points will of course be forthcoming 🙂 )

Regards,

If it's in the list, it will start up regardless of whether or not it is checked. This control is intended to hide items in the list, not stop them from launching. If it isn't in the list, remove any AppleScripts, Automator actions, documents, or other items which might launch the application.
