Change the default system shortcut keys

Hello, I have a tricky one for ya:

I use the Canadian Multi language keyboard as I need to type in French and English, and I need quick access to accents. In this case, my ? key is found under SHIFT + 6.

Now, that being said, I want to use the shortcut for help (Command + ?). If I hit COMMAND + SHIFT + 6, the Mac registers it as number 6 (and not the ?). If I use COMMAND + SHIFT + / (the normal placement of the question mark under a US keyboard) the Mac registers it as É (which is what that key is supposed to do in a CSA keyboard).

Other han switching keyboard languages each time (which defeats the purpose of this whole exercice: save time) anyone know how I can get around this, or at the very least remap the default COMMAND + ? key?

MacBook Pro TouchBar and Touch ID, macOS High Sierra (10.13.4)

Hello and thank you for all the replies. I don't understand why it works for some of you and not me. Maybe it's the fact that I am using a Macbook Touch? On the touch, the SHIFT+COMMAND+6 is the default key for "save picture of the touch bar as a file". This key combination is already system reserved, which might the cause of the problem?

Yes all other keyboard commands, as far as I know (I don't use them all) work well, except those who require a character found via COMMAND +SHIFT+ ANY NUMBER.

For those who have access to the CSA keyboard, please do me a favor: if you go to create your own custom keyboard shortcuts, where you can name the shortcut and see your key combinations, does your system register COMMAND + SHIFT +6 as a question mark? On mine, it just shows as COMMAND + SHIFT + 6 (it doesn't acknowledge the character above the number)

Since the help is COMMAND + ? could it be that it's not registering the key combination, because the combination required on the CSA keyboard conflicts with what the system already uses as a key combination for another shortcut specific to the macbook with touch bar ("save picture of the touch bar as a file")

Editing the shortcut to something else worked. Turning it off was not sufficient, it really needed to be edited. I did however check with someone else who has a Touch Bar, and he experienced none of my problems. It worked out of the box for him (no fiddling with shortcuts required). So I am not sure why mine was so complicated.

Regardless, my problem is solved thank you for your help.
