Bluetooth doesn't show up after 10.13.4 install. Help please.
MacBook Pro
I've got the same problem with bluetooth on my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015). Its behaviour after wake is very erratic. In the least case, my mouse is not connected automatically so I reconnect it by pushing the mouse button. But also, in gradations of worse cases:
In the last cases I have to restart the Mac in order to get Bluetooth back.
I already tried the various offered remedies of deleting preferences, resetting through the bluetooth debug menu, ...
But in short: bluetooth IS BROKEN in the 10.13.4 update.
NONE of this happened before the 10.13.4 update.
Hi,
Might be corrupted Bluetooth preferences. It can happen after a macOS update.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Then copy / paste the following:
/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist
Then click Go then move com.apple.Bluetooth.plist file to the Trash.
Restart your Mac then see if the Bluetooth icon shows up in the status menu bar top right in your screen.
Thank you for the suggestion. I tried this several times and unfortunately, it didn't work. Any other thoughts?
