Issue with iPhone 7 plus microphone while making calls the other person is not able to hear my voice clearly there is lot of background noice to them and blury voice

I have the exact same problem and judging by the number of similar posts on the internet it is safe to say a wider group of users is affected. I did try everything which was suggested by Apple Support but this has made no difference. The quality of voice connections is way worse than on my previous iPhone. No solution in sight as yet.

I believe posting the following information could help solve these matters:


  1. Reference your wireless service carrier provider: AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon... etc.
  2. Reference from what company your device was initialy purchased at: Apple Store, Sprint Store... etc.
  3. Reference if you downloaded any "carrier service updates". (These updates are usually after an IOS update)
  4. Lastly, your Apple iPhone model number.

I have the same issue with my microphone. People can't hear me clearly (the audio goes blurry and unclear) and asking me to talk louder. I tried to use skype by wifi - the same problem. But if I'll connect my headphones (standart headphones, bluetooth is turned off) - the sound is great.


First two monthes I tried to solve this problem with my mobile service provider - didn't help.

And I filled all fields in: "Settings -> Mobile Data -> Mobile Data Options -> Mobile Data Network" by recomendation of my mobile service provider - didn't help;

I tried to use my phone without oficial case - didn't help;

I switched off "Phone Noise Cancellation" (General -> Accessibility) - just some little changes but didn't help.

I made video and audio records - sound is great. But by phone call everybody asking me to repeat what I just said and I really hate this phone already...


I made call to AppleCare yesterday and they gave me recomendations:


1) try to reset Network settings (Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings);


if it won't help, then:


2) Reset All Settings (Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset All Settings). It won't erase your files.


if not, then:


3) Erase all contect and settings (the same path, BUT -> must read next).

But you should do it in iTunes. First, connect your phone with computer by usb. Then go to iTunes on your computer, create backup of your phone and start "Erase all contect and settings" then you should use clean version of iphone (you shouldn't restore it from backup).


Ofcourse, I tried and it not helps. And they asked me to go to the Apple service center. Maybe someone found the solution without service center?...
