Brand new iPhone X . 256gb 11.3.1 (15E302)

Worked perfectly for a week.

Went to setting and switched on the magnifier. After a little while the screen went black . Does not respond to tapping.

Tried to re-boot but cannot insert the pass code as the screen only lights up for a split of a second

Never connected the phone to a PC>itunes hence cannot reset the phone using itunes.

Any idea?

iPhone X, iOS 11.3.1

Hi Guys, All well now. Was not the dreaded Black Screen.

While switching on the Magnifier I completely changed the accessibility setting and made the phone vision impaired friendly . Looks as if I also switched on Voice Over. It means the the touch screen functionality is different.

By resetting the phone the touch sensitivity was impaired.

In order to get the screen back you need to tap it 4 times and then very slowly tap your way through to setting and un check it .

Have you tried a "forced restart" of your iPX?

Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then, press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo. When it appears, release the side button, wait for your device to restart, then test it.

If you get no improvements, since your device is still on warranty, have it checked at your most convenient Apple Store or AASP: Apple - Find Locations - Location Selector

Regards

Giulio
