How to check apple airpods are real or fake ???
I have purchased apple airpods from online site FLIPKART, the serial no. which is mentioned in the box ( is showing invalid when, iam entering it in apple official online site to check warranty of product ).
The serial number should be a series of letters and numbers. It is possible you typed something incorrectly, or they could be counterfeit. What is typed on the back of the case beneath the hinge? It should read;
Designed by Apple in California
Assembled in China

The serial number of the AirPods is located inside the top cover. Also, I've seen another post about counterfeit AirPods in the last week or so. Do you see a white button on the back of the case? There should also be printing on the back of the case just below the chrome hinge.
Otherwise, attach a couple of pics of the devices and case.
This is why it's better to purchase directly from Apple.
If it shows as invalid then the serial number in the box is not valid.

As iam from India, the airpods from store is available in
INDIA at 196$ which is equals to 13,000 indian rupees & i got it from FLIPKART sale at 135$ (i.e.., 9,000 indian rupees).
Hope u can understand, why i purchased from FlipKart.

There is no such thing as a free lunch. There is a reason that what you bought was prices significantly below the normal retail price. That may be because they are counterfeit, or stolen, or for some other reason... You take a risk when you choose to purchase from an unauthorized source.

Yeah there was a serial code inside top cover & there is white button on back as well with printing , u r saying...
Iam getting worried for the serial no., which is printed on product case & in the box, when iam entering that code to official site warranty check, that is showing INVALID, that scared me little
Please Chris, is it normal for the Model number printed under the two L+R wireless earpods be different? Or they should match? Because mine, the left has a different Model number while the Right is also different so I think it’s a fake
I am not sure where you are referring to when you say "under the two" for the AirPods. The model number is in the cover and is only printed on one side. The other side has the serial number. There is nothing printed under, as that is where the AirPods make contact with the charging circuit. Please explain more, or provide a photo of what you are referring to.

I hav typed 5-6 times & all the things were r8, which u r saying...only the prblm is with serial no....., which is showing invalid
