My iphone aux adapter doesn’t work without me doing anything to it, and I don’t want to spend money on a replacement. What can I do?
You can try and contact apple support and ask what they can do for you.
No guarantees they can help you though. But if you want to see if you can get a replacement for free you must contact them directly, this is a community forum where you get answers from other customers

What is confusing? The white cord that you have to plug into your aux cord to play music off of your phone does not work anymore and i am not the cause of its malfunction. It just stopped working on its own.

What he probably mean, is that his Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter stopped working without him doing any damage to it. So he is requesting if he can get a new one free of charge.
