Extend screen turns purple

Hello. I have a macbook and I’ve been using a extended screen for a while now. The other day my MacBook updated and now the extended screen is purple. Before I log in it’s clear but after I log in it turns purple

What happens if you press Command-F1? This is supposed to switch between mirroring and extended desktop modes.

It is possible that your mac is trying to set the external display to an unsupported resolution.

Try to reconnect the screen. Also look in settings > monitors.

Maybe the extended screen isn't supported? You have it connected thought TB2 so you can try another cable.

Try to open folder and drag it to left/right side (to the next monitor). Or if you close after signing in MacBook, the MacBook screen have to be showed on the monitor.
