I keep getting this:

Dear LYNNE,

This is a reminder that beginning on 5/25/2018, Apple will introduce security changes that prevent an older Windows PC you own from using the iTunes Store.

You may continue to use the older iTunes software on your Windows PC without support. However, you will not be able to make new iTunes purchases or redownload previous ones on that computer after the changes.

Learn more about iTunes Store availability on unsupported devices.

The latest version of iTunes is available to download for free at apple.com/itunes.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Regards,

It is legitimate. The change affects Windows XP, Vista, and the 1st Gen. Apple TV. It will prevent use of the iTunes Store, other than that iTunes will continue to function. Perhaps you have an old authorization of a Windows XP system that is still registered with Apple. See Authorize your computer in iTunes - Apple Support. You may wish to deauthorize all, then authorize the computers you currently use.
