Why won’t iTunes accept my card for my payment information?

I cannot update any of my apps or download another app because it won’t let me update my payment information but I have tried multiple and multiple times and I put in my card number and everything correctly and it continues to say “This payment cannot be used with the iTunes Store.Try again using another payment method.”
