2015 13 inch rMBP Full Charge Capacity

My 2015 rMBP full charge capacity is at 5853 mAH. It has 172 cycles and was bought July of 2015. Is the charge capacity and cycles lining up correctly? I know its designed to retain 80% at 1000 cycles.

Coconut battery says it’s at 89%. I haven’t had any issues but I just thought the capacity was low for the cycles.

In general there should be a more or less linear degradation. However, it’s really using round numbers. 80% and 1000 cycles seems a little to perfect to be more than just a rule of thumb. Apple typically runs an official battery diagnostic for customers requesting replacement, and I believe 80% or lower battery health is required for Apple to perform their battery replacement service.

Heck - mine was delivered at about 94% battery health new in the box. I think it was made about 8 months before I bought it. It’s at 86% now with fewer than 100 cycles. I dont believe mine is typical, but I don’t believe Apple will replace the battery while condition status is still “normal”.
