VTDecoderXPCService taking upwards of 400% CPU

On startup & randomly while working/watching stuff on my computer, the fans will start to get really, really loud. I keep seeing "VTDecoderXPCService" showing up & taking up to 600% of my CPU. I've tried resetting the NVRAM & quitting the process but the problem is still occurring. I'm worried it will damage not only the fans but the battery as well since it's heating up a lot while the fans are extremely loud. Any idea on what could be wrong or what I can do?

Hey kvnzrt,

If I understand correctly, there is a process that begins running and has a very high CPU percentage. If this happens after the computer starts, it could be a login item. Removing it as a login item will prevent it from starting randomly.
