Apple Watch suddenly not holding charge

i have a series 2 Apple Watch that has been working great since I got it. I was logging 1-2 workouts a day with the heart-rate tracking turned on. Starting 4 days ago my battery life has drastically dropped off. The first day it dies at 8 pm, the second day 6 pm, and yestday I charged it to about 80% at noon and it still died by 6 pm. Today the watch dies at 3:30 Pm. I haven’t changed any settings or upgraded the software in the last week. Anyone have ideas on how to fix this issue?

Either you have a problem with one of the watch apps using excessive battery, or the battery itself has started to fail. In my mind the rapid decline tends to suggest a failing battery. I suggest a forced restart to rule out software problems, press and hold both buttons until the Apple logo appears and the watch reboots. If this doesn’t fix the problem Contact Apple Support to get the watch checked and review the battery change options.
