Alienware alpha support for Mac

Hey so I am curious if I hook up a Alienware alpha R2 console to the Mac will it work properly?

Although there may be some third-party hack floating about that permits that, Apple's built-in Target Display Mode enabling an iMac to be used as an external monitor is strictly a Mac-to-Mac thing. Also only certain iMac sub-models have that capability:

Ugh, yeah I’m just trying to find a way to game on my Mac. I thought if I got the console that steam runs on and connect it to the iMac then maybe it would work. I’ve hit a dead end it seems, because I love macs interface and the flow of all the devices connecting. But then I love how seamlessly windows can game. Ughhhh rip my heart out.

Yeah that would make sense. I just wanted to use a Mac as a Monitor for the thing, and then also do work and what not.
