KINGSTON 100 G3 Flash drive

I found a problem which I can’t solve whatever from the dozens websites I try.

I have a 64GB KINGSTON 100G3 flash drive with some unactual economic software on it. I wanted to clean the drive / impossible / write protected (no switch available).

I tried to re-format the drive / format failed or returns “Write protected”.

I also tried a couple of specialized apps stating to be able to format even the protected drives – no success.

Creating an image isn't possible either.

Is there some trick how to make the drive writable again?

iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6), SN: C02GFFD3DHJF

If the drive came with the software and was set as read-only from factory, I don’t think you can do anything about it.

If not, sect the drive in the Finder, press command-I and post a screenshot of the Get Info window.

Again: this probably came hardware protected from factory.

You are probably right. None of methods worked with OSX, Windows, Ubuntu. I assume that the economic software where the stick was used for data transfer to the supervisor must have made some special security changes.

I have tried on iMAC (HighSierra) and Windows7 PC:

Format, low level format, wipe, erase, delete files etc., also hints for using terminal commands - result = 0.

I thought that LLF will ignore any protection.
