As I understood, there is no option to choose this file format (TSV, meaning separated with tabs) directly in numbers.
Older workarounds featured TextEdit (paste & copy again), but in todays version it is not possible to export in such format, right?

Not only *should* it work but it actually *does* work here––if by "it" you mean select cells, command-c to copy to the clipboard, then in TextEdit, command-v to paste, then save the file from TextEdit.
TextEdit supports plain text just fine. Go TextEdit > Preferences and choose 'Plain text' in the Format section.

Are you trying to bring TSV data into Numbers, or get it out of Numbers as tsv?
If you want to get TSV out of Numbres, have you tried the older workaround? Select cells, command-c to copy, paste into open TextEdit document, save that document. That should still work.

As Itried to explain, maybe it *should* work, but it does not - as far as I can tell. you are today not able to save the table as plin text with tabs, as textedit only supports Richtext oder other "ritcher" Formats. Maybe I am wrong-
