Too many instruments loading upon new project

When I start a new Garageband project, about a dozen instruments load up automatically.

I don't need that. Is there a setting somewhere that allows me to choose not having all

these instrument load up upon starting a new project?

Use "File > New Project" and click "Empty Project".

Then you can add just the tracks you want, manually.
