itunes $50 gift card purchase phishing is alive and well

got taken a bit by surprise. i was immediately suspicious. got an email for an old apple id email addie telling me that the purchase of an itunes $50 gift card from a merchant had been approved.

Yes, scammers will try until someone fall for it.

Any "supposed" email from Apple not addressing you with your Full Name is a phishing attempt.

Like Dear Customer, Dear Client, Dear your-email-address, or something similar.
