Simple multiplication sign

I am trying to put my password in for an account that uses a multiplication symbol. I am wondering how do I use a multiplication symbol for Apple on in I phone 6S? An asterid symbol or a small x is not the same as a multipication. Android, PC and apparently a macbook has one. Did apple just forget about this symbol when they added all of thes other foreign keyboard symbols that most people wont use frequently (á æ ž ‰)?

iPhone 6s, iOS 11.3.1

I think you mean u00d7? That symbol, I've only seen on an iOS keyboard in Pages when entering a formula in a cell. I dont know of any way to get it in a Safari keyboard (at least not an English keyboard, since in English typed prose, the asterix or just letter x is the normal multiplication symbol).

Simplest solution may be to just change the password for that account. The default text entry iOS keyboard does not support unicode supplementary symbols.

P.S. You may be able to add a Unicode symbol keyboard from the App store that supports supplemental character sets? Then just use the globe symbol on the keyboard to switch as needed.

Thanks. I have PC for my other devices that does have the “x”, multiplication symbol and asterisk symbol. I recently switched to and iPhone so my best solution my be to first try a new keyboard as my other devices have no problet with this task. Then if not change my password. It is pretty sad that this option doesn’t already exist as android, specifically Samsung, can do this.
