The zoom function on my magic mouse has suddenly stopped working.

The zoom function on my magic mouse has suddenly stopped working. I have taken the following actions, all to no avail:

1. Checked the settings in preferences.

2. Turned the zoom function off and on in preferences.

3. Turned the magic mouse off and on.

4. Rebooted the iMac

5. Disconnected the Magic Mouse from bluetooth.

I am running Mac OS 10.13.4

iMac, macOS High Sierra (10.13.4)
