iCloud music library most songs show Removed

I just subscribed to Apple Music and most songs in my Library iCloud music library status shows removed. I think I had the Apple Music trial at some point but canceled. How can I get these back in iCloud? So far I'm having to click each one and then choose Add to iCloud mMusic Library. Is there a way to do all at once? I have tried going to File>Library?Update iCloud Music Library but it doesn't seem to fix anything. I have several thousand songs.
