My X has a small crack in the back panel glass. Phone has never been dropped And no key and coins placed along with phone.
Went to local Apple Service Center they told me this damage not cover under warranty.
True, user damage is not covered by warranty.
BTW, this is user to user technical forum, users just like yourself and no Apple employees here.
You have to take care of the device. Buy a case or something.
Is that a true crack, or is the edge of the glass chipped? Either way it would be accidental damage rather than a manufacturing defect, so not covered by warranty. If you have AppleCare+ you could probably use one of the two accidental damage incidents but if it doesn’t impair functionality I would say “not broken, don’t fix it”
That's cosmetic. It also doesn't appear to be a crack.
