Full caller screen on iPhone 7plus

I have been trying to make my caller screen full picture, in iPhone 7plus .i I have edited the picture by scaling and moving it slightly then saving.the picture remains full for just awhile after which it returns back to the small size picture.how can I make it remain full please

To my knowledge, only vertical images can be used.

Adopting the same work around (resizing, zooming, moving the image) on my iP7 (not plus) is working fine.
