Can’t delete iPhone update

Settings>Iphone storage> update > delete update button appears but doesn’t work as its making fool. my iPhone 6s, almost 6Gb space is occupied by “system”. almost 1Gb occupied by “update” . I have seen this same behavior. Try to delete the update again. Then close the settings app and go back and see if it is gone. If not, try again, and then close the settings app and restart the phone.

As a last resort (this worked for me at one point) delete an app that you don’t care about, then delete try deleting the update again.
