What settings will auto upload photos to Macbook?

I read this answer to a similar post and it isn't correct. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201302

I want to take a photo on my iPhone and have it automatically sent to my Macbook. The above instruction for setting up iCloud photo streaming/sharing requires that ALL iPhotos be on both devices. This exceeds both my iCloud and iPhone storage.

I want to take one photo on my iPhone and have it sent via whatever cloud to my Macbook automatically. Where are these instructions?

All of my iCloud storage is empty and paid in full.

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.4, 64GB

Mjollories.

Holy Cow that did it! I didn't get a prompt to upgrade storage or a window that I had too many photos. I took a photo right after making your recommended settings, and although I had to reload the MacBook > iPhoto > Photos window to accept a new entry, there it was! Unbelievable! It was probably the only other combination of settings left for me to try.

Thank you for your advice.
