Hi, my 2009 MBP will not upgrade to 16g RAM. Needing the speed but with limited budget, I wish to purchase a used MBP that will upgrade. Apparently Retina MBPs do not allow the upgrade of RAM. I am confused as to just how to select the proper computer. Suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you. George
Hi Paul, thank you for your helpful message. I ended up buying a 2015 mbp w/16g and 1t sshd. All for $725. Upgrade kit looked tp be about $400 or so. Hope this was a good choice. Thanks again. George
Go to the OWC site and look at what upgrade kits are available. Then get a used computer which will accept one of these upgrade kits.
