No mic or sound on calls

iphone 7 11.3.1

woke up and the mics not working in phone call or to record anything. Seems messenger updated this morning, did that mess with the settings? Can play music... just do weird the phone would do this...tired restarting and a few other online suggestions but nothing’s worked.

Get help with the microphones on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker
