Pause during Swim Workout

I swim 5 times weekly. The watch workouts are accurate in my 25m pool. Big complaint is the buggy method for pausing during my workout. If I rest every 300m, pressing the digital crown and side button do not always pause the workout. I get the water droplet screen and sometimes the workout is paused and sometimes it does not pause it. I always scroll the crown to remove the water. Just no consistency.

Also, at least once a week my watch reboots

Apple Watch ultra action button for swimming Hi I have the action button setup for workout. When I train I thought I could use the action button to pause and restart my swim workout. It works fine to pause but does not resume as the watch is in water lock mode! I seem to have to water unlock first the resume which is very annoying and inefficient. Am I doing something wrong? Quite honestly I think I am doing what you suggest to end the swim workout. I can get it to pause, but not to end. Turning the Digital Crown makes the water drop grow, but I see no way it ends. Is there a video of this? i want to end the swim app on Apple Watch series 4. I think I am doing what you suggest on this page and user manual. After it pauses and I turn the Digital Crown. I see no evidence of it unlocking
