iPhone users see do not see the phone number I transferred to new iPhone

I used to have Microsoft phone then I bought an iPhone SE. I transferred my old phone number to my new iPhone. But I have found that iPhone users do not see my transferred phone number. Instead they see the new phone number that came with the iPhone and this is confusing them because they think I have a new phone number when I don’t.

This problem appears to only affect iPhone users because anybody who doesn’t have an iPhone can see my transferred phone number and not the phone number which came with the iPhone.

Please can anyone help me with this? Thanks.

Settings>Phone>My Number. Is this happening with phone calls or messages? If iMessages, you will probably need to turn iMessage off and then back on again, as iMessage was probably activated under the new number and not the old one. If you go to Settings>Messages, what is showing under Send & Receive, and Start New Conversation From?

Thanks! You were right. The new number was under send and receive so I turned off iMessage, restarted my phone and turned iMessage back on and it works fine now. Thanks very much.
