For almost two months now I’ve been getting two different emails showing up together every few days. When I try to delete them I’m told that they cannot be deleted, though they have in fact disappeared. How to stop this?

Problem resolved. I determined that my iPad Pro was what I had been using at the time the two offending emails were first received. At the time I was on a cruise and was using the ship’s satellite wifi. Since the problem arose under these circumstances I surmised that there was something left over/unresolved on the iPad. I solved my own problem by restoring the iPad to factory settings and then restoring with a backup stored on my iMac. No more repeats of the 3-month old emails.
