Unable to install iTunes

I recently upgraded to the iPhone X. I tried to connect to my iTunes via a Windows PC. I was told I needed to update iTunes to the latest version. When I tried to do that, I received an error message that there was a problem with the Windows installer and it was not able to finish. I uninstalled iTunes and tried reinstalling without my phone synched and I get the same message. Now I don't have iTunes loaded on my PC and no way to update the music on my phone. Help!

Updating OS to support iTunes and iPhone 11 Hi, I recently changed from an iPhone 6s to an iPhone 11. I am using a MacBook Pro, 13 inch, mid 2012, Core i5. When transferring my iCloud backup to the iPhone 11, my music wasn't transferred for some reason (this is vital for my job). When connecting to the iPhone 11 to my Mac to try and sync my music, iTunes tells me 'iTunes could not connect to this iPhone. You do not have permission', despite choosing 'Trust this computer' multiple times. After some searching on this forum, I tried updating iTunes to the latest version, which then prompts me with 'iTunes needs 10.11.4 or later'. So far I have tried upgrading to Catalina, but can only get as far as this screen, where I click on Install but it goes no further. I then tried downloading a previous OS (thinking maybe that the jump from Mavericks to Catalina was too big?), so I downloaded El Capitan which appeared to be successful, with the installer saying 'Install complete' but there were no changes made to my Mac. I tried restarting but it is still running 10.9.5. Am I doing something wrong? This has now been days of downloading and trying to install without any success, and I desperately need my music on my phone for work. Any help would be much appreciated, Shelley

iTunes wont open following update I allowed iTunes to update to a newer version, then I could no longer open it. I believe my older Windows 8.1 is not compatible with the new iTunes update. So, I uninstalled iTunes and then downloaded an older iTunes version compatible with my windows. Installation of iTunes kept rolling back and would not complete. I used an Apple community answer to try and solve the problem. I removed several Program files related to Apple. Finally iTunes said it installed successfully, but now when I open it the error message is: The file "itunes library itl"cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes. Pretty upsetting since I have uploaded hundreds of old CD's to my iTunes file and now I can't sync my phone either. Any help out there? Thanks

iTunes won't install on Windows 7 Hi Everyone,I need urgent help! Just got a new iPhone. However, it required the latest version of iTunes in order to work (yes, still using an old version.) Therefore I downloaded the installer to install it.Then comes the trouble. The installer stopped at this point.I uninstalled the old iTunes and reinstall as fresh, still having the same problem. Any idea on what triggered this? BTW, this has been happened to me for a few versions already. Every time I have to uninstall iTunes completely before I can update to the new version (internal update won't work.) Just this time this procedure won't work anymore 😟Any help will be appreciate.jf
