Final Cut Pro X creates XML files incompatible with DaVinci Resolve 14.2

I want to do color correction in DaVinci Resolve.

But I had to learn the .fxpxml file Final Cut Pro X 10.4.2 is incompatible with DaVinci Resolve 14.2.

You cannot import this, and you get an error message "DaVinci can only work with XML 1.3, 1.4, 1.5)

How can I get a compatible XML file and not this trash file that FCP creates that cannot be used anywhere?

I couldn't edit my previous post, so I'm upgrading.

I did several attempts, and then suddenly it worked.

Maybe my use of crystal balls and black magic worked - DaVinci Resolve finally accepted XML 1.7

Yes, Tom, there is a wrong error notice in Resolve 14.3

Which version did you export? Make sure it’s the older one. The Resolve dialogue is out of date. I know it accepts versions newer than .5.

I have tried both 1.8 and 1.7

While I have read online DaVinci Resolve is compatible with 1.7, it factually is not.

I have Resolve 14.2, and it does not accept any xml export by Final Cut Pro X 10.2
