Workaround not viable with IT managed UEFI password

This workaround is not viable for environments where IT has locked down the boot menu with a password.

We need switching back to OSX from bootcamp fixed ASAP.

If you are willing to be a bit adventurous, please try the solution in when are boot camp drivers going to be updated ?

Do not forget to create a Windows System Restore point, before you start down the suggested path.

Following up here in case someone finds this but not the other thread...

The workaround found in the thread linked by Loner T works great!
when are boot camp drivers going to be updated ?

Key points:

  1. download iMac bootcamp package using a 3rd party tool (brigadier), specifying model "iMacPro1,1"
  2. mount the downloaded WindowsSupport.dmg file in OSX and extract "BootCamp/Drivers/Apple/BootCamp.msi"
  3. put BootCamp.msi on a thumbdrive or some other place your Windows can find it & reboot into Windows
  4. Use 7-zip to open BootCamp.msi and extract "Apple/Apple Control Panel.exe"
  5. replace that file in "c:\Windows\System32"

That's it! Just that one file needs to be replaced.

Special note for anyone using Parallels or VMWare Fusion to run your bootcamp partition while in OSX: the option to reboot to OSX does not appear while running the partition as a VM. It shows up just fine when booted natively.
