Size in icloud.com not showing correctly (in my favor)

I added a 13g folder to my Documents folder on my Mac, which is really in icloud.

I can see the documents on other devices under the Files App.

However, in icloud.com, settings, the size of Documents shows only 9g.

This only worries me that my files are *not* completely up there..... how to verify?

Hi Eric,

My local icloud drive and icloud.com/documents do show all the files.

In icloud.com/settings, it's showing only 9G total.

In icloud/documents (local) it's around 35G.

In the local finder, there are some cloud icons next to them. The descriptions that I found in past posts do not match with what I see in High Sierra now...

- some with cloud/down arrow: hover icon says "in icloud"

- some with cloud (no up arrow): hover says "uploading"

Then there are some files with no cloud BUT that file exists in cloud - icloud.com/documents...

strange and confused....

Hi tygb, this helped - i see i some consistency and some more info through these interfaces.

To answer my own question:

Seems a few ways to get to info:

icloud.com/settings

local settings-> icloud -> manage

apple -> sysinfo -> storage, then also manage

ios -> settings -> general -> iphone storage (local to iphone, but will impact numbers above)

ios -> settings -> <icloudid> -> icloud -> manage storage

but the storage amounts listed are not always matching. strange

example: ios photos shows 80g storage, but in icloud "images and videos" is only 7.7gb, and the pictures folder in local system is 100+G

Another thing I noticed was at bottom of finder, if you have the status bar on, it now says it's uploading documents to icloud with the stats. that is the most helpful actually....

sorry i marked the wrong post "helpful"! meant to give that to you...
