Corrupt Hard Drive Partition

While I was partitioning my mac's hard drive (MacBook Pro, 250 GB), Disk Utility Crashed. Now I am missing hard drive space. When I click Partition in disk Utility, it just shows that the Macintosh HD is using a lot more space, but will not let me delete the corrupt partition. I have tried using different commands in terminal, none of them work. Any ideas on how to delete or repair these partitions.

Mac HD not able to fill up 50gb of hard drive, Disk Utility and Terminal not locating anything I recently did a bootcamp partition, 50gb, and when I was in windows, accidentally pressed "format". This was after an error given by windows as it was finishing up installation, and I went back into Mac and tried to delete the partitions. Boot Camp deleted OSXRESERVED, but not the other partition as "an internal state error occurred". After trying many things I eventually reformatted that partition as "Free space" through Terminal, but after that it disappeared. The problem is that Macintosh HD is unable to fill up that 'Free space' and it's not showing up through Disk Utility or Terminal.

Hard drive issue on Imac fussion drive Hi, My 2012 iMac with MacOS Catalina has been crashing a lot - possible failing hard drive. Anyway, I erased the drive and reinstalled MacOS Catalina. I was surprised to find that the computer now operated very well until I got a message that I was running out of hard drive space. I have established that only the SSD part of the drive was working but not the main 1T part of the HD. It appears that this has not been mounted. Where do I proceed from here? Jim

Lost Space on Hard Drive I purchased my Mac with a 1TB hard drive. A while back, I decided to partition that drive, basically in half to have two separate work drives. Well, Disk Utility is saying that the hard drive has 1.3 TB but in actuality, there is only about have that. Its saying that the hard drive is only 500+ GB. No sign of the other 500GB. When I click on the main drive it says 1 TB but when I click on the actually drive, it's saying it's has 514 GB. Has anyone else had this problem. I'm missing out on half my hard drive. I have backed up the info currently on the drive through Time Machine and want to reformat the hard drive but it won't let me do that. The "erase" icon is grayed out in Disk Utility. Help! Thanks!
