Can Apple find my iPad by serial number

Is there a way for Apple to track an iPad by the serial number, I had two stollen by ATT as part of a trade in program, they said to ship to them, after 10 months they gave us credit for our phones but say iPad now don’t qualify and we ask for them to be returned and now low and behold they have no way or idea where they are.. I want them disabled and marked as stolen because they are at this point
