How do I make my screenshot video recorder work?

I have rebooted my phone and switched on my microphone but my screenshot videos are audioless. Please help. ☹

I followed the instructions on how to record a video screen shot. Everything works great until I start recording. All I can record is the screenshot of the Control Screen. What am I missing? On my iPhone 11, with 14.4.2. I’m trying to record a screenshot of an app. I followed all the instructions, but all I can get is a video of the control screen. What am I missing?

I can use the microphone. My videos have no sound still.
