Resolution/Ratio of thumbnails in Home Videos?

I want to make custom thumbnails for all of my Home Videos, but see that 16:9 doesn't go parallel with the text/title under the thumbnail of the videos I've adjusted the thumbnail for. What is the correct ratio that I should apply?
