I'm using iPhoto version 3 in High Sierra 10.13.4 on a mid-2014 MacBook Pro. Problem: I can't get a «My Album» (not a smart album) to recognize a Keyword, it worked yesterday, but not today, very strange (1) I want to delete the «My Albums» I created and use Smart Albums instead but (2) I can't find any way to delete a «My Album» I created. Any Ideas?

Thank you LN. I use the track pad exclusively and prefer it to the mouse but it has conditioned me not to use the right click menus or even remember its there. Either that or its old age creeping up.
right click on the album in the sidebar and delete album from the resulting menu

in the preferences you can set a right click gesture for the track pad - mine is a two finger click
And control Click is also an alternative for right click
