WhatsApp deleted . New number can’t recover data have it on iclud

I never changed the number on WhatsApp after getting a new phone with new number. Accidentally erased WhatsApp and now I can’t gwr the messages back since it wants to send a confirmation code to the old number .. I have iCloud and messages are there. How do I get them back on WhatsApp without the okd number ?
